Committee

IOYA has five different committees that each work to fulfill IOYA's goals. These committees are run by young people around the world who are dedicated to the Oromo cause. By dividing up the main tasks of IOYA into several committees, we ensure that things get done and more people can be involved. The committees allow IOYA to run smoothly and efficiently.

Mission

To serve as a human rights advocate on behalf of the youth and the Oromo community at large.

Description

This committee is responsible for writing press releases, organizing rallies and conferences, and preparing pamphlets and other publications regarding human rights issues. It is also responsible for working with other human rights organizations to promote the Oromo cause.

This committee is known for its demonstrations in Washington, DC, by which we aim to bring about awareness of the mass killings and unjust imprisonment of the Oromo people that is going on in Ethiopia.
